The New Heart Center for Fitness and Wellness, a program of the New Mexico Heart Institute Foundation offers a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program to individuals who have suffered from heart problems. This Cardiac Rehabilitation program is housed in a wonderful 14,000 square-foot facility that provides a safe and healing place for individuals with a wide variety of cardiac problems to recover back to good or even better health. New Heart is located at 601 Lomas Blvd. NE, just east of downtown Albuquerque.

Research has consistently shown cardiac rehabilitation for who have had a heart attack, angioplasty, heart surgery or heart failure is powerful medicine in helping patients recover more quickly back to good health and in many cases to better health. Cardiac rehabilitation reduces the risk for future heart problems such as the need for repeat hospitalization, angioplasty or heart surgery.

The New Heart program teaches lifelong habits which will include an exercise program to improve fitness, flexibility, strength and balance.
