For the past four years, New Heart has worked in conjunction with the cardiac rehabilitation program in Gallup, NM at the Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital. Patients do their cardiac rehab program in the Gallup facility, and then are seen by New Heart physicians for periodic assessments via a satellite link connecting our Albuquerque facility to Gallup. Patients and their families can visit (through a TV monitor and speaker) with our doctors to discuss their progress. This long-distance telehealth program has yielded similar outcomes and success as our traditional all-in-one-location cardiac rehab program here in Albuquerque.
